Three highlights from week three Crown League action!

Crowd and RJ Barrett
1. The crowd
The crowd is ALWAYS one of the highlights of Crown League. I said after week 1 that I like the community feel (everyone knows everyone), but it is more than that. The crowd is hyped for fun plays and strong dunks and blocks and goes crazy every time one is even attempted. It is makes for a great night (and ruins my voice every time I go).

U19 team Canada
2. The U19 team appearance
Seeing the future of Canada basketball wearing their medals after beating the US at the FIBA U19 tournament was so cool. RJ Barrett looks like a future lottery pick and there is just so much talent on that team. There was so much talent in the gym in general last week. I love how much love everyone showed each other – Kelly Olynyk posing for pics with the U19 team and the even the refs going up to shake their hands.

3. Kelly Olynyk
It’s always cool to see an NBA player drop in to play in Crown League and Olynyk was no exception. He dominated throughout the (very close) game. It was by far the most exciting game of the night and came right down to the wire. Olynyk bricked two free throws that would have put 1LoveTO over the top but then hit a 3 with a second to spare to win the game. Couldn’t have been scripted better. They had to call extra security to the court because everyone was so hyped they didn’t want to leave.
Full recap of all the action from last week is available from Nike Toronto . We have to miss Week 4 but @footlockercanada will have live streams on Instagram. Spots are probably still available for tonights game so check in asap. We will see you in 1 week for the finals!
Thanks to Foot Locker Canada for the courtside seats and shirts!
